Formed a year after joining Diverse Group Australia, due to the downturn my employment was terminated and made redundant. Within the same day I was re-employed under a new title with part-time hours. Some months on from this I was again terminated and re-hired as a casual employee, however only on 8 hours a week. I was advised by Diverse to look for a second job. It was at this point in 2017 I decided to form my own business TeamCave Personal Computer Services (TCPCS).
TeamCave Personal Computer Services (TCPCS) ran up to July 2021, then I decided to rebrand, and changed the business name to Eastern Hills Computer Repairs (EHCR). I control, create, design, and perform all social media actions and tasks from domains, websites, Wiki, design, and merchandise.
I have a good core of residential and small business clients. All Aboard Seafoods, Motorcycle Assist, Revive Roof Restorations, OzSteel Design, Powell Pro Ceilings, Axis Building Approvals.
The tasks are various and with my technical background and grounding has enabled me to 'get out' there and make a difference. I have an excellent relationship with my customers who know they can call on me anytime.

2016 - Present | IT Coordinator

Employed on a short-term contract, working out of Jandakot Airport and South Perth providing IT support on a major construction project:

I was engaged on a 2-month contract (extended to 3) with the Department of Health. The role was to complete a device audit which is a deliverable of a larger project for the new Perth Children’s Hospital.

Contractor position providing cover for the IT manager and the support technician when absent.
Duties included:

  • User administration on 2008 AD including exchange 2003/2009 mailbox and user accounts.
  • Windows XP/7/8 desktop OS and application support to the user base, locally and remotely.

2004 – 2014 | IT Specialist

Fugro Surveys Pty Ltd and CGG, West Perth, WA
Provided ICT support for three companies IT infrastructure and systems. Headcount of 120 users, 20+ Servers, 100+ Workstations, 120 desk phones, 40 mobile phones. Planned and oversaw a complete company move from Floreat to Osborne Park (AUD$1.5m) new Computer Room and workshops. Company systems and infrastructure. Then involved in second move some years later.

Duties and Responsibilities included:

  • Day to day resolution of reported faults and point of contact for first and second line issues using the in-house Ticketing System Manage Engine and TTX.
  • Administration, maintenance and support of Server 2003, 2008R2, 2012, Windows XP and 7 workstations. Using SCCM 2012 for build and installation and WSUS for patch management.
  • Administering vSphere 5.1 for the hosting of application servers Navision (Financial), MS SQL for asset systems, SCCM repository and 2010 Domain controllers. Using the VM Converters for the virtualisation of physical servers and workstations.
  • 1st line Administration of the office CISCO VOIP phone system including the addition, removal, amendment of user and device records. Liaising with the provider IIPC on second line issues including switch administration.
  • Administration of users, devices, distribution lists and groups in the Windows Active Directory – Windows Server 2012.
  • Creation of training media (Snag-IT, Camtasia) such as How To’s and coaching of users on best practices and performed IT Inductions for new starters covering, assets, security, social media, and faults.

  • Cable maintenance, replacement, repair, creation and housekeeping and patching schemes performed by myself.
  • Had some experience in using the Thane portable satellite system whilst providing cover for a land survey group.
